Re-acceleration feature in iMMR for textile application

What is re-acceleration feature

Re-acceleration is a method where the Relay restarts the motor automatically without user intervention for momentary voltage dips.

Re-acceleration feature application

In textile industry for continuous polymer processing plant voltage dip time set as 500ms because critical motor should not stop on voltage dip as temperature will drop in canned pump.

If this pump will stop then circulation will stop, and polymer will get jammed in pipeline

Other Applications in textile mill

No.ReasonExplanationTextile Example
1 Motor Protection Protects from overload, phase failure, imbalance, short-circuit, stall, or overheating Prevents motor burnouts in spinning frames, blowers, pumps
2 Reduced Downtime Detects abnormal conditions early & trips before damage Prevents stoppage of entire loom line due to one jammed motor
3 Energy Monitoring Measures current, voltage, power, PF, and energy Helps track energy use of each machine section (e.g., dyeing vs. winding)
4 Predictive Maintenance Logs runtime, starts count, fault history Alerts maintenance team before motor failure (e.g., worn bearings)
5 Automation & Control Integration Communicates with PLC / SCADA (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet) Enables centralized control & remote monitoring of MCCs
6 Harsh Environmental Conditions Textile areas have dust, lint, humidity, and vibration IMMR gives reliable operation with temperature & ground fault monitoring
7 Space & Wiring Reduction Replaces multiple devices in MCC Simplifies MCC design and improves safety
8 Standardization & Diagnostics Provides uniform fault codes & parameters Easier for maintenance staff to diagnose issues quickly
