Reason - The ip address should is not available Solution: 1. if company network is being used check the accesibility to access 2. check if set ip is with in subnet range 3. Check if Primary and Secondary DNS is correct as per network settings 4. Set the Default Gateway IP to match the router's IP or the company network's default gateway IP.

3rd part meter not communication

Reason - 1. Memory map configuration wrong 2. (10 power -4 )Conversion factor is not available in third party memory map configuration 3. Data on modscan and software is matching but not matching with meter display readings Solution: 1. Verify data via Modscan, check wiring, confirm the meter parameter's datatype/function code in the memory map, and ensure the gateway supports that parameter datatype. 2. Can be added from conversion factor available in Master settings

Reason - All mandatory fields are not saved in organisation info settings Solution: All details should be given in mandatory field of organisation settings

The web-based energy monitoring provision of SmartComm EMS

Installation of SmartComm EMS has helped users to gain the benefits of energy management continually using PDCA approach^[1]. SmartComm EMS when used with multi location architectures can help the organisation to get quick visibility across locations.^[2]

For a multi-location approach, SmartComm EMS can be deployed on private cloud or public cloud and monitored easily with web browser based provision called SmartComm EMS WebView.

What should be installed to view this?

WebView based setup files are required to be installed only on the PC / Server where the main EMS software is installed. No other installations are required. Recommended web browsers like MS Edge / Chrome browser can be used for viewing.

How to access?

Within the facility premises across locations:

To restrict viewing to users within the facility, the private ip of PC/Server where Base EMS is installed will be used. This means any employee of the organisation with authorised credentials would be able to access it from any PC connected to LAN without installation of any executable files. This access could be from users in the same plant or from a different plant connected on Intranet from a different city. This means that multi location facilities can now seamlessly access and reap benefits of energy management systems with SmartComm EMS. Multiple users could access it simultaneously too.

If the organisations have a VPN facility, then the users will be also be able to securely have access to WebView even though physically they are outside the facility.

Outside the facility premises from anywhere

Since mobility calls for accessing the energy management dashboard and reports outside the physical premises of facility, a public ip / global ip available from internet service providers will come in aid. The public ip will be linked with the private ip of the PC/server where main EMS software is installed. With this the user will be able to monitor SmartComm EMS on Webview from anywhere – inside or outside the premises.
