Overview

Any Electrical infrastructure, mainly Switchboards & Busducts, are susceptible to temperature rise due to the thermic effect of Electric current. In cases where amperage is more, for example horizontal busbar in LV Panels, it is very well pronounced. The first sign of an electrical fault is unusual heating at the point of fault. This can be identified earlier, and suitable actions can be taken only when live temperature data is available.

Loose termination, switchgear failure due to increase in temperature, reduced capacity of switchgear due to increase in temperature, inefficient practice of temperature monitoring with temperature guns are the major concerns

Applications

Ti Range of Switchboards
TMZ and ZG1000 can be mounted in Metering cubicle of any vertical.
Sensors should be mounted at HBB joints/ ACB (U-Power Omega UW) / MCCB (DZ, DN, DY, DU) terminals in a flat manner to ensure more contact area with the joint.
The sensor wires to be routed in the cable carrier and connected to TMZ in the metering cubicle.
The maximum distance of TMZ and ZG1000 should be less than 5 metres and a maximum of 20 TMZs can be connected with a ZG1000 Gateway.
